I know that you are to give bread, wine, salt, rice to the owner when you visit a new home for the first time, but I can't find the saying that goes with it.

This one is funny--my sister Amber Wallace wrote this:

Toliet Paper

Soft and fluffy, there you are upon your little roll
In your place of honor right beside the toilet bowl
I really do appreciate the service you provide
To the delicate soft region of my tender underside
Without you bathroom life would be a most unpleasant act
It really would be awful when you think of it in fact
Newspaper or magazines would only serve to smear
And corn husks tend to be a little hard upon the rear
People dont appreciate the fact that you are there
Until there is a need to wipe their soiled derrière
And then you are a most appreciated gift to man
While sitting most undignified upon the local can
The roll you play gives comfort to a very basic need
And having you makes potty time much happier indeed
For the most appalling horror that I have ever faced
Is sitting there and seeing that your rolls not been replaced

Could it be the one that says: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; The courage to cahnge the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.?????
I dunno what other one you are talking about.
