I'm wondering if there's any "simple" way to copy a DVD to the harddrive, and run it "simply". Basically I'm asking if there'a way to copy the whole DVD, and just be able to click on "one" file, it runs the "DVD", all the menus work, etc. I try copying it now, and I get several files (obviously for all the chapters, menus, etc) Any suggestions? Or will I just have to live with one folder with several files attached to that "one" DVD?

DVDs come in the vob format. That's why you're seeing what you do. Besides these are bulky files. What you need to do is to convert your DVD to avi [audio video interleave] formats which will make them smaller in size and you can then watch them by using your Media Player.

Converter softwares come expensive, so it's better you use the Converter that you'd have got in the free bundled software that's generally given with your DVD Writer. You'll need to ask your Computer/DVD vendor which one of the bundled software they gave you is the Converter and how can you use it.

Alternatively, you can use your Windows Movie Maker to make it into wma files that are incredibly small. Going to the Help in your Movie Maker will help you learn how you can use it.

All the best.

As far as I know, there is no free 'one click' solution out there. You basically have to rip the DVD, then either burn it to DVD, or convert it to a playable medium like DIVX.
