I'm curious how many people drive with their factory driving lights on. On some cars/trucks they are automatically on when the engine is running and can't be turned off. I am SICK of people bright lighting me cause mine are on...Am I an inconsiderate driver or are they just stupid?

To clarify...I don't have my high beams on...The driving lights go off when I turn the high beams on. They are adjusted to factory specs. Thanks for the responses so far! You guys/gals are great!

I drive with my headlights on at all times, if someone flashes me because they are on that is their problem, I leave them on low with all of my fog lights running, factory and aftermarket. when I switch to high beam the fog lights all turn off which is the way Toyota designed them from the factory. I do not thing you are being inconsiderate. This is why driving lights on cars and headlights on motorcycles are always on when you are running the engine.

I don't drive with mine on. It is inconsiderate and dangerous to use driving lights unless in poor weather conditions.
In some cars fitted with DRL's (Daytime Running Lights) they will run automatically. These are usually not as bright as regular headlamps/driving lights.
In some places it is illegal to dazzle other drivers.
In your case, I would check into the alignment of your driving lights, or maybe even getting a switch to turn them off installed.

No, on some cars the 'daytime running lights' (DRL) on on when the vehicle is running, NOT the driving lights, which are always on a separate switch. Driving lights should be only used in conjunction with the brights, and off for normal driving.

I drive with my lights on because I save nearly $50. per year on my insurance policy --- they think it reduces the chance of accidents. If people keep flashing their lights at you, your lights may be on "high" beam and shining in their eyes. Some cars have the "high" beam as the default choice. So each time you start your car, you may need to select the "low" beam.

You can go into control panel and device manger and see if there are any IRQ conflicts. Disconnect the IDE one and see what happens if the DVD drive comes up. the point is you don't stop. If you are doing internal stuff like changing drives you should know simple basic steps like that. Other forums will ask you "What have you tried so far?"

ignore the other people that flashes you. daytime running light is for safety. not everybody have the same eyes vision and these people that flashes you don"t realize it. example are people with near sighted, coco cola bottle eyeglasses, and drunk drivers.rumors are Federal Government are trying to make it a law require all vehicles equip with daytime running light .all motorcycles are mandatory. i pull drivers over and hand out tickets for those who don"t turn their light on when there are signs require them to turn it on.
