i'm not sure about why your arms are sore, You probably just sleep in a strange position that overuses the muscles. Your hands coudl be sticky because of the gel or because you are sweating at night, that is a very common thing to do, especially if you like to sleep under alot of blankets.

Did you lotion your hands before you went to sleep? If you did, and did not rub it in properly, then this might be the possible cause for stickiness.
Also, try using a hand sanitizer on your hands before you go to bed.

maybe sweating while you sleep so your hands end up a little clammy and maybe your sleeping wrong do you ever lay or lean on your arms having them underneath you I know when I do my arms are really sore when I wake up
