Seriously! You kind of expect this sort of thing from children, but unfortunately the culprits are often so-called adults.

People now adays can be so cruel. I work for an agency for developmentally disabled adults. They are so beautiful. I get enraged when someone makes fun of a person, because they have either a mental or physical handicap. I sincerely believe that people do this because they are happy with themselves and they need to pick on someone to make them feel better. It gives them a false sense of confidence. Kind of like the class bully. This type is not only cruel but igonorant.

Your right...Sometimes adults are worse than the children at not trying to understand. If we all would just try to remember that none of us are perfect. Then maybe we could except everyone for who they are. Don't let it get you down. Just remember that these kind of people tend to talk about everyone. These type of people are shallow and narrow minded and need to take a good look in the mirror!

I can't stand this kind of behavior from an adult. We all lose cognitive function as we get older, so you would think those people would empathise, not to mention maturity. My husband still does it and he is 36! I'm ashamed to admit this.

They are narrow mined little people that feel by doing that makes them look cool. Just like the bully in school. You just have to treat them like there children and explain how dumb they really look. By getting mad you give them power over your emotions.

People tend to make fun of things that they do not understand or that they are scared of. Look how many George Bush jokes there are. It doesn't make it RIGHT, but it seems to be a natural tendancy. It brings the unkown down to a more familiar level.
