As a reflection of society as a whole. Blacks knew with a change in the hearts of American citizens there would come a change in government. I have seen huge progress, since my youth, in the citizens and the government is following along slowly. Unfortunately the government has been influenced by reverse racists or those who favor Affirmative Action, which is just a slap in the face for a black who wants equal opportunity, not "special favors". Affirmative Action is the same as a racist telling me I'm not as capable on my own as he is.

We have to be careful since many organizations which purport to be helpful are actually harmful to the equality movement that should exist.

Race-oriented organizations like Black Caucus, KKK, and Hyphenated organizations like African-American, French-American, Greek-American, etc. actually foster the separation of people. In the process they also contribute to racism.

Eventually the members of these organizations will begin to think of themselves as "special" and all others as "inferior."
