Have a look at the questions I asked, read all the responses I got for my question on suicide - hopefully it will help you realise that it isn't the best option usually. If you want to talk to someone who's been there, send me a message.

If you do that I have a feeling you "might" have to be reborn and it will be harder.
"As much as the suicidal personality feels able to escape the world by getting rid of the body, reincarnation's revolving door ensures that all hope (of escape) is short lived. Those who learn that they have killed themselves in past lives are quickly brought to the realization that suicide, far from being an answer to life's problems is (instead) the violent breaking of the lifeline. If the (suicide) could only realize the resulting intensification of difficulty which must enter the life to come, (suicide) would never be (attempted)."
- Joe Fisher ("The Case for Reincarnation")
Make sure you have a good doctor and mental health therapist, plus dont hide it(thoughts) from your family and friends.
Remember you are loved, you are safe.

You honestly aren't suicidal if your asking this question because you'd already have done it. And no it's not the right choice in my opinion. Have fun and forget everything that had made you upset and depressed, afterall lifes worth living isn't it? So why stop living it because we're having a rough patch. Look at the bright side of the black picture and it'll soon turn white!

No. You were made for a purpose and that reason cannot be fulfilled if you are not here. I have felt this way in the past, but I have been given so much joy. There is a plan for your life. God gives hope!!! For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me with all your heart . I will be found by you. This is God's message to you. Look up! He is right with you.

Even if its just for my sake don't commit suicide. As REM said "take comfort in your friends"- if you dont think you have any consider all us yahoo answers people your friends. And above all pray!! Ask God to reveal himself to you, to give you a reason to live. Don't bother dialling some number like someone recommended- get a Bible and start reading.
In fact here's my motive for life for you- to read the Bible- might not sound very exciting but if you want to commit suicide after that fine- just read the Bible before you do anything rash!

When I go outside on a warm sunny day and I see the green grass and trees, feel a cool breeze which carries some pleasant odors , and hear the birds: I realize I don't want to leave this place.
Forever is such a long, long time, and I'm sure I can wait to deal w/ it latter.

Depends on the moral implications of it. If you have no loved ones who would be injured by it, well, then your life is in your own hands. However, if there are people who would have to suffer, who your death could potentially cause suicidal depression in, then no, you cannot morally take your own life. You haven't the right to injure others in such a way.
In short, choke it down and press forward.

Please don't do anything stupid - there is always something to live for. I have suffered from depression on and off for years and know how you feel. Your family would be absolutely destroyed. I know depression can seem relentless, but there is help out there. Go and see your doctor - I have found anti depressants invaluable. I have also had counselling, which helped. Above all, please do not feel ashamed. Depression is an illness like any other and you should talk to those around you. All the best for the future.
