If the hair bothers you, then by all means get rid of it.
The best options are:
Laser Hair Removal - expensive, and takes several treatments, but permanent
Electrolysis - less expensive than laser, but also takes multiple treatements (it can only treat the hairs that are growing at the time, which is 70%), permanent
Waxing - inexpensive, can be done at home. Pulls the hairs out by the root, so it takes much longer to grow back. Can be painful depending on the area. Over time can be semi-permanent (won't work on all hairs, but will thin them out)
Chemical Removers - Nair, Neet, etc... inexpensive, can be done at home, but you have to be careful that you don't have an allergic reaction to the harsh chemicals. Also removes hair by the root, so it will last longer.
Shaving - least expensive, but probably worst option. Hair can grow back in as little as one or two days, and then you have to deal with stubble.
You just have to find what works best for you! Good luck!

You can remove them without fear of growing back thicker. This was discussed recenly in a book called "Why do men fall asleep after sex?" By Mark Leyner. (Same Author as Why do men have nipples)
To be on the safe side, wax or use Nair as opposed to shaving (from what I've heard).
Actually by pulling the hair out, you may remove enough of the root to where the hair doesn't grow back at all.

Your hair will not grow in thicker or darker then before you shaved it, waxed it or lasered it. It just will appear that way sometimes to you because it was bare just days or weeks before.
If it bothers you, get rid of it. What you think is all that matters. Shaving lasts less than a week. Waxing lasts 4-5 weeks. Laser treatment lasts up to 3 months and may come in lighter than before treatment.
Shaving: up to 10 dollars a month for razors and creams
Waxing: 20-50 dollars a month for waxing fees at salons
Lasers: 200-600 for 3 months of hair freedom
Good luck!

Are the hairs black? I have lots of hair also but its soft and blonde so its never bothered me. If you shave it will come back thicker...think hard and long before rushing into a decision...what about looking at electroloysis? Pricey but after about 10 sessions it will be gone forever..go to a spa and inquire about pricing. You can use a home hair removal cream like nair..but in the long run it will be pricey...years and years of nair.

I'd shave or wax them. I shave my arms and the hair doesn't grow back any worse. Waxing makes hair grow back much slower, and it will probably grow thinner as well.

If you take your limbs off, they won't grow back. Maybe you should just shave the hair instead.
