Well, children learn by example. Don't ever lie to them or lie to anyone else while they are around. They may tell little white lies here and there but they will know it is wrong because you show them that it is wrong.

Don't just tell them not to lie. Lead by example. It is so hard. Even if you tell a "white" lie, and they notice it (and they will), you have taught them to lie.

Teach them about Jesus and the word! pray with them and set examples.

I think every kid lies. I always tell my son - soap in the mouth. He 'cleans' up his act! But you can't prevent it. It's human nature to embelish!
