Have lots and lots of one night stands and casual sex. If it doesn't mend your heart, at least it will take your mind off it while you're at it...

The best way to do it (meaning you won't regret it later) is to focus on being of service to other people. It will build new relationships and give you time to heal.

However, if doing something healthy is not what you want I can suggest some self destructive things you can do:

1. Develop an addiction. Always good at numbing pain.
2. Sleep with lots of guys including all his friends.
3. Become a bitter angry person that hates the opposite sex.
4. Get immediately into another relationship with no future.
5. Become gay and have hundreds of partners.
6. Get revenge. Find a way to hurt and humiliate your partner.

You get the idea. You can improvise from these.

There is no instant "cure" for heartache, but the best way to get over someone is to cut all contact with the person. No emails, drunk dialing, showing up in places where you would expect to "bump into" that person. Also, try getting your mind occupied with something else so that you are not thinking about the other person 24/7. I know it's one of the hardest things you will ever have to do, esp. if you really loved the other person, but will be worth it in the end when you find that one person you are truly meant to be with and will spend the rest of your life loving without fear of being hurt by them.

I'm having the same problem as you right now. i don't know when I will be healed but I try to continue to do what I must supposed to do like making myself get tired at work so i can get a good sleep at night. I go to spa, treat myself a nice dinner on week ends, & shopping in my freetime. Let's not try to dwell on the past. It hurts but we can learn from it anyway. Good luck to you!

There are a lot of things you could do, and I don't have enough space to mention all of them. The easiest way to get over someone is by finding someone new. That's not what I'd recommend, but it works for some people.

i know what you mean. if someone did you wrong then i think the best thing to do is instead of feeling bad for yourself feel bad for them because there the ones that decided to hurt you. cry it all out and be happy of all the good moments y'all spent together. don't hate him just move on. hating him means you still have feelings. face reality and understand that there's plenty of fish in the sea. be happy it turned out this way it means y'all weren't going to make it too far.

Cry, alot, you'll heal, don't flip into revenge. Talk to close friends, a friend will let you cry, rant, and rave, get you drunk, find a counselor, talk, talk, talk. Time heals, this too will pass, I know hearing the cliches quoted to you won't feel like it helps. I care about what you're going through, alot of us have been to hell and back

You have to find peace within yourself first.

You have a second chance to be everything you want to be. Make a list of things you want to accomplish. As you accomplish and mark things off your list.. Your self confidences will rise and you will be more proud of yourself everyday and then you will realise..the other person..was not good enough for you. and you will have a sense of satisfaction within yourself and you can move on.
