If paying in cash, just pay it at your nearest station. The customer services people will help you; just present your unpaid fare notice with the cash. Any station on the network should accept it.

I wouldnt post cash, and I have no idea what a pay number is!
If you have a debit/credit card then i would put those details on the form, or is there not a number you can call and pay over the phone with card?
If you only have cash, then call them and ask where you can go in person to give them the cash. Or go to a post office and get a postal order.

Don't post any cash at all, never do that, unless you want to give some lucky postal worker a nice bonus.
Phone them up and pay on your debit card or something.

take it to your local station and you will be able to pay the penalty fare there, or if you have a cheque book and don't want to take it to a place which is quite so public then send it off to the Revenue Recovery Department or their equivalent.

Send a cheque dated last week - maybe they'll assume it was delayed in the post. Always worked for me with credit card bills etc.
