I have a need to "pop" my mail from one exchange server (email box) and send it somewhere else. The admins do not allow IMAP connections to these boxes, so it has to really be an "exchange connection".

Right now I have to leave an outlook client opened to pull the mail off. Is there another client which can do this?

Or perhaps a perl library for working with exchange servers?

Anything which will return control to me?

"send it somewhere else" as in to another account??

The exchange servers support ONLY exchange accounts. You could try setting up a "rule" in outlook to automatically forward it to another account. That is the only way to retrieve mails form an exchange account.
