To all of you that made comments about (making fun of) him being old, shame on you, that is the route that we're all taking, we'll all be there one day. Now to answer your question, you didn't say how you know this man. Is he a co-worker, friend, an acquaintance? Whatever the case, just tell him that you're not interested, if you're married or seeing someone, let him know. If you know any older women, introduce them to him, maybe he just needs some company & he's telling you that he loves you to see if you fall for it & start talking with him. Now, if you feel that by telling him you're not interested, he's still hanging around, then advise him that if he doesn't leave you alone that you will go to more drastic matters to make sure he does (leave you alone). good luck!!!

Sweetheart. You're 47. Most 47 year old ladies that I know have oodles of ways to handle this problem. Not to mention most every one of them usually involves a withering comment or stare that any man with a proton for a brain would interpret as "Stay the hell away from me you creep".

Come on...you have it in you. Don't be afraid to use it. Some people just need to be told nicely. When that fails...be blunt. Be very, very blunt.

Whoa. that's creepy! well I say you should cut all communication w/ him. Avoid him at all costs. He could end up doing some "stuff" that you would be very uncomfortable w/. If he's someone you're actually friends w/ try to talk to him about it. If he doesn't understand you need to get away from him and stay away from him. He's not a friend worth keeping if he refuses to understand your point of view. Hope this helps! good luck=)

Tell him to stop calling or you will consider it phone harassment. Tell him you do not want to see him - because you are "in fear of your well being and consider it harassment" . Tell him if any of the above happens again you will go straight to the Police. It seems harsh but it sounds like he has ignored all your past requests-this is the only way to show him you are serious.

Well 14 years difference, is that what makes a big difference to you?....or is it that you are not the least bit attracted to him......if you really want to get him off your back just tell him you are not interested in the advances he's making towards you, you dont have to be cruel about it, just honest.

Ask for a complete financial statement. Then let reality be your guide. I am 62 and a multi-millionaire; women mature faster than men and men mature less than women so you and he might have a mental age in common.
