Is it meant to be or just raging hormones?

you cant cause that is where love starts, with admiration/caring/friendship, etc. It TURNS INTO love with fostering, nurturing and more care. Love isnt a magical thing that HAPPENS, and I have been married since I was 15 to the same guy, and just hit my 20th anniv., so I feel I can talk about this with confidence. Yes, I did love my hubby when we married, but not the depth and strength and commitment that I have now, and there is so many levels its not even funny. Sometimes I feel the more that you love someone, you open yourself to hate that person just as much, and that hate and love have a very fine edge with each other. Crush is just a silly girl thing, love os something that happens over time, with day to day sharing, commitment and lots and lots of concern about each other.

Wow I wonder a lot about that sometimes! I agree w/ all the answers here. here's an example from my own life: there's this guy. I've had this love-hate type of crush on him for a long time. Sometimes the way he looks at me makes my heart melt, and then he'll say something really hateful to me and he's my worst enemy. Thank goodness this is only a crush, even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes! Because I know I wouldn't do anything for him - especially cut his toenails like one person already said! and I know it's just a crush cuz I DON'T EVEN LIKE THE KIND OF PERSON THAT HE IS! Which still doesn't make very much sense. Hope this helped=)

Crush is that stupid feeling in your stomach and when you act stupid around someone. When they make you smile and cheesy just by being around. Love is deeper, but doesn't feel often as strong as a crush does. Which is why people cheat sometimes. And yeah, it has a lot to do with hormones. Pen and Teller did a show about this and said that love is just a myth and explained that the love you think you are in is just chemicals. Yeah, I was kinda pissed about that one, but it is probably true.

I believe crush is short lived and diminishes with time, whereas true love is for ever and increases with time or at least does not die with time. You may have many a crush in life , but only one love.

a crush is more of a lustful thing (raging hormones, obsession) when it's love you think of just being in the persons presence, happiness and being suspended in pure bliss...besides when it's love you just know :)

A crush is where your body tells you that you want to sleep with this person.
Love is where you heart tells you that not only do you want to sleep with this person, but also you want to be with this person until one of you dies and even after you are both so old that having sex with them is no longer an option.

Ask yourself this...do you see yourself growing old with that person...having kids...making a life together. That is the difference between a crush and love.

sometimes they can be confusing to decipher. but a crush is when u get all giggly and butterfiles in your stomach feeling. love is when you would do absolutely anything for a person, even laying down your own life.

a crush is when you get tongue tied and googly eyed around the other person and talk for hours on end on the phone and never want to hang up.....love is when you smile when they have gas...give them an enema when the get constipated...cut their toenails ...love is still there when everything else is gone

crush is a slow moving passion..lust is a hot fast moving passion..either or could turn into love..why u asking?
