I have the same feeling everyday. My problem is called MMD, and i will be dealing with it for the rest of my life. I have pain in my hands and feet constantly, and soemtimes i can't even get up, let alone use a computer. You most likely either pinched a nerve or just have a small circulation problem. I think you will be fine, but if it continues i would go see a doctor.

It's more than likely a combination of poor circulation due to lack of exercise and low electrolytes in your bloodstream (eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, more vitamins and minerals, possibly more salt too) and bad posture while sitting at a computer.

An educated guess would be that you are spending upwards of 2 hours at a stretch at your computer every day, with too much weight on the heel of your hands as you type; most likely lopsided as you use a mouse. I used to have this problem too but changes in exercise, diet and posture have more or less gotten rid of it.

I agree that this sounds exactly like carpal tunnel syndrome. It involves a narrowing and irritation of the shaft through which the carpal nerve passes past the bones of your wrist and hand. It's fixable; see a doctor.

Could be carpel tunnel if you have a job where you use your hands alot. Both my mom and my grandmother had it. My grandmother had to have surgery to fix it, but my mom sleeps with some braces on her hands. You can find the braces at Wal-Mart in the pharmacy section. I would still go to the doctor and have them see how serious it is.

did you fall asleep on your hand in a funny way? otherwise you may have blood-pressure problems or blood sugar problems. This would depend on your age. If it is a recurring problem, get it checked out by a doctor.

sounds like you may have a pinched nerve. You could possibly have carpal tunnel syndrome also. I have had both and I recommend going to a chiropractor for care.
