Islam sucks.

You suck Foofoo. Islam is just a regressive religion with a wayward shaman leader and manual (Koran) that is bound toilet paper.

OK you may have just made it unanswerable based on whatever your definition of negative,is it negative if it's true? I'm so tired of political correctness on issues like this I just want to scream. Islam is like all religions good and bad. I think it's a religion which fosters a great deal of sexual repression for example, both personal as in chastity being a law rather than a choice, and societal as in women having little or no power to define their own identities or destinies. It also fosters a great deal of the concept of honesty and honor, but unfortunately in any discussion that's the only part you're supposed to mention, right? So it has many concepts it teaches which are to treat others well, but it also fosters some very violent and repugnant concepts like any religion. I personally see a great deal of barbarism in all the reigions originating from the middle east, not just Islam. I would suppose that if people were to try to focus on the good taught within Islam then I'm fine with it,just as many Christians have tried to not to allow themselves to focus on some of the very negative aspects of their own religion. But when I look at much of the middle east I'm not sure how I'm supposed to end up with this grand beautiful image of Islam, explain how that's supposed to happen. Every thing I see there which negatively reflects on Islam, the excuse is always that they aren't real Muslims. But when you see a 16 year old girl hung in Iran for "act incompatible with chastity" then I'm at a loss as to where my positive view of Islam is supposed to come from. And they had to do it of all days on my nieces birthday,so all I could envision was someone trying to hang my little niece,it did not help.

Well I don't think this is negative, I was just going to say that I am sure there are good muslims and bad ones, just like every religion. Islam in general, it sounds somewhat violent actually. "We all must submit to Allah." Living in this country for the past 18 years with the acceptance of religions makes it hard for me to understand why a religion would want to kill people for submission. God is love, and if anything (like the Catholics) I just don't comprehend their need to be so inflicting, but again ~ they ALL can't be bad. I have heard Muslims say that we judge them all based on the few that declare war("Judge not lest you be judged"). Well I see Bush in the same light (rather darkness), he declared war on the innocence over there too, his sin speaks loud and clear to me, but God (or what ever u want to call Him) will take care of the evil, no matter what their cause or excuses. He knows, even if we don't ~ sorry so long!:o]o:

I think of Islam as a strict religion but only slightly more so than Christianity. Beyond that it means nothing to me other that set of silly do's and don't's. Much like any other religion.

Islam was made up around the 7th century AD by Muhammed from elements of Judaism, Christianity, and allah-moon god worship. That's what it means to me. Just like any other cult which perverts the truth of Christ.

I think that different religions were created by mankind because each of us have different spiritual needs..Jesus is just the one that fullfills mine....and I don't believe in insulting or bashing something I do not understand...especially other peoples religious beliefs or ethnic backgrounds...I just did a new blog on my page that explains my views on racism...check it out and let me know what you think...

Islam to me is a religion of hate. Sorry, I'm not trying to be negative, but you did ask.

Allah was a moon god before he was the god of Islam. How is that? Something I find interesting.

My major life experience with Muslims was working at a restaraunt owned and run by them. So I tend to associate it with delicious food.
