whatever you're going to do, make sure you do it now while you're underage and have ensurance (I'm assuming you do since all this work is crazy expensive) dentures may seem to be an old person thing, but that's not true !!! my mom has had fake teeth since she's in her 20s, and now at 47 she has just gotten actual dentures. they look great on her and she's much happier now because she can go back to enjoying all the things she couldn't eat for awhile because her teeth hurt her so bad. it just may seem extreme for you at your age. I know. if you're confused abou the facts of implants, talk to your doctor about it. he would be a better judge for this opinion since he has or can do X-rays on your mouth and gums and give you a better idea about the implants. I wouldn't suggest crowns. they work for a year or two and then fall off. in your case it may even be sooner than a year. in other words, you will constantlybe at the dentist getting new crowns. eeek.! so my overall opinion to is ask your dentist for more details. if implants are doable then go for it. if not dentures arent so bad really. but maybe you can put that off for awhile? like if u decide on dentures maybe is it possible to wait until ur teeth just can't take it anymore?

Denturists are specialist that only make dentures. They are not dentists, and they are only allowed to practice in specific areas of the US. (It's a state law thing).

General Dentists and Prosthodontists also make dentures with help from a dental laboratory

To get dentures you have to go to a dentist and he will fit you for them and then he sends them out to a lab where they make them up.

Your regular dentist usually send them to the Dental Laboratory where they are made just for you, it is a unique fit, the dentist will take some impressions and send them to the lab, they will come back in a few weeks or days and then your dentist will adjust them over time until they feel comfortable.

Prosthodontist. This is a specialized field of dentistry that focuses on aesthetic, cosmetic, and prosthetic oral prosthesis. The work is highly specialized and personalized. Because of this, the cost of this service is higher that a denture clinic.

Nobody said, "Prosthodontist." Most dentures are made by general dentists, I am sure, but if you are looking for the name of the specialty, that's it.

Prosth... = Prosthetic or fake
...odont... = related to teeth

There isn't a doctor, who makes dentures. You have to go to your dentist, and he buys them from a distrubutor
