How can I send an invoice made using QUICK BOOKS to my customer via e-mail ?

A couple of things you could try:

1. Print to an ASCII text file and email the text. Your invoice would lose all formatting, but the data would be there. You know what I mean if you've ever gotten an email confirmation of an order from an online retailer.
2. Do a screen capture of the invoice, paste it into your email, and email the image.
3. Print to a PDF file. (You would need Adobe Acrobat -- not Adobe Reader -- to do this.)

Number 3 is the best choice because your document retains all formatting and can be opened by anyone using Adobe Reader. The down side is you have to invest in Adobe Acrobat to do it, which is expensive. If you generate enough income to justify the expense, I would recommend this method.

I can't imagine what good this QuickBooks application could possibly be for you if it can't save the work you are doing. You should contact their online help or contact them by phone about this oddity.

Otherwise, take a screenshot. You can do that on a Mac by pressing Control + Command + 4. That will change your mouse cursor into a crosshair. Drag it over what you want to have in the picture. When you release the mouse button, a "Picture 1.pdf" file will be on your desktop. If you need JPEG instead, open the PDF file in Preview and click "File > Export...". In the ensuing export window, change the format at the bottom to JPEG.

On a Windows computer, you press the "print screen" button, open an image editing application, paste the clicpboard info into a blank document and then save it wherever you like. It may be some wacky format such as Bitmap but you can then choose to save it as JPEG.
