not sure if this will fix it or not but try synchronizing the time off the intenet right click on the lower right corner where the clock is and select Adjust date/time. click on the tab on the right where it says interent time then click update now (make sure ur comp s hooked up 2 the internet first). hopefully this will solve it f not u will need 2 change the battery on ur mobo that powers the clock wile the cmp is swtiched off take it to a compuer store they will do it for u.

if the internal clock is not keeping the correct time - this could be the cmos battery needs renewing ....this is a small watch sized round battery which is situated on the motherboard .....this holds all the settings needed when you first start the computer ( bios settings ) it is not difficult to change ,,,but do some research first .....if the battery is fairly new then you may well have picked up a virus

judt read your update ...it could still be the battery ..even after only a year ......

I'ts probably set to synchronize with an internet time server, sot it's automatically updating the time. Make sure you have the correct time zone set in the Date and time properties. If that doesn't solve it, you may need to replace the battery on the motherboard.

There's a battery on your motherboard, it's one of those flat, round silver batteries. When it goes dead, your clock will stop anytime you shut off your computer.
