All dog breeds are pretty much full grown at 3 years. In a Bullmastiff the maximum height is reached around 1.5 years and then up to 3 they fill out and develop muscle.

Maybe I took it for granted because I grew up with dogs and have relatives in the veterinary field, but I honestly thought this was an easy question that everyone knew. Obviously not, as there are alot of really wrong answers on here..... Anyways, the average dog should be on puppy food until they are a year old. It is mostly for the extra fat, protein, and calcium, which they need in larger quantities than adult dogs because they are obviously growing (like a 1 y/o kid drinking whole milk for the fat and calcium rather than 2%). This is crucial for large breed dogs, as they obviously have more growing to do in a shorter time than a smaller dog, and have much more of a bone mass. With smaller breed dogs, sometimes people will cut them off at about 8 months or so, although this is usually if it is a lazy dog that is getting fat and could use a leaner meal. If all these answers are confusing you, ask your vet. You could probably just call him/her rather than having to actually make a visit. Good luck.

Large dogs usually stay in the "puppy" stage from 12-18 months. I would guess that by around a year old your dog will be full grown. But you should continue giving it puppy food up to at least 18 months because of the high protein content.

Around 3 in the giant breeds.

They have their adult height around 15-18 months then it is mass that they gain.
