Well, I dont like him thats for sure. But I do hate the sin. I try with my mere human ability to hate the sin and not the sinner. But you are right we do spend a lot of time on it. However you can not blame all of America, we dont all control the tube. Media they blow things out of the water, this is why I chose to not watch the news. These things "sell" as they like to say because our people are divided, people are either to focused on this or that and trying to live and pay the bills to be concerned with "right" and "wrong". Its sad but true and even I am a culprit but would we all really stand together? Not at this point be you Dem or Rep, a Religious person or not this country is divided. We wouldn't know "right" from "wrong" if it hit us in the face. To many options to consider. To many opinions, just like mine. Thats what makes us, US. So, while more than most of us (people in their right mind I mean) will hate the sin and the sinner, we will all never agree on what to do with him.

I can only speak for myself. I believe a little empathy goes a long way. It is not my place to judge. I'm a Christian and I believe that all of us have sinned at some time or another. If I were to hate the sinner, then I would only be hating myself because I'm not perfect either.

With this I fully agree. It's not an easy thing to do. Loving the sinner and hating the sin is one of the reasons the teachings of Jesus Christ were so radical. It's not an easy thing to do and most of us if not all fail miserably. It's a good thing I have the grace of Christ otherwise I'd been in for it deep.

As a Christian I can tell you there are TONS and TONS are hypocrites out there. A true Christian prays for his enemy and has no HATE for another in his heart, only compassion and anger sometimes too. We are none perfect and we never will be.
Maybe we could learn a little something from the Amish.
And yes, I do hate what child molesters do and it makes me sick and I cant help it... and I am a Christian. Jesus said it were better if you had a millstone about your neck and thrown in the middle of the ocean than to offend one of His little ones.

Why do you have so many generalizations about Christians?? The harsh people you see on this site do not represent the vast majority who believe in Jesus. I do not hate anybody, but I hate what they do. So yes, I am sickened when I see a child molester on tv, but I do not hate him, I hate what he did and believe he should get the harshest penalty there is. Christianity is not about hate and I feel bad that the only Christians you seem to have encountered are all about hate.

Yes, I hate the sin and love the sinner. As bad as people like Adolph Hitler or that woman who murdered her children are, I wouldn't wish hell on them. Not even Ted Bundy or Frau Guiness.

Pretty much. "Hating the sin and loving the sinner" is pretty much just a cover.

Excellent question, one we all have to take to heart. Actions speak louder than words, and too often our actions demonstrate misdirected hate.
By the way, you have had a way of pushing buttons in the past. The last few questions and answers I've seen were quite tolerant. Keep it up, you might be on my good list yet.
