Because every sad individual who ever believed in God thinks he can justify any action, including war, if he believes God is on his side.

Firstly your claim that all major wars are started by religion is totally false- if you want examples how about WW1 WW11 Korea Vietnam Afghanistan Iraq.
You do have a point that religions have played a part in war in the past, but so has atheism with Korea, and the USSR being the prime examples.
The reasons there are wars is that even though God is good, man is bad, and wars start because we're greedy and squabble over land and resources. If we all did a lot more lovin and a lot less hatin then the world would be so much a better place....
Sorry that last sentance was ridiculously cheesy but it was still true.
Your knowledge of history is appalling btw! no offence!

First of all, I'm not so sure you're correct about the 'all major wars started because of religion', but I'll go with it. God is good, but people are not. Satan entered the world and mankind twisted what is good and right and turned it into evil. So while God is perfect and good, humans have fallen from this, and so we start wars. It's no good blaming religion just because people are so sinful that they would take it and use it as an excuse to harm others.

God is good. We are not. It is incorrect to say that all major wars were started because of religion. WW1 was started because of an assassination. WW2 was started because the Nazi's wanted to control Europe. Again, not religion. The American War of Independence was against political exploitation from England. Again, not religious. The American Civil War had a number of causes, mainly economic. Japan attacked The United States for economic reasons. I could go on.

No God, in any religion, starts wars because there is no physical evidence of an existing God. It's people's beliefs in their own God being the best that creates friction.

All major wars are not started by religion, read your world history instead of believing weirdos on the Internet or media. God is still good, he didn't start any wars.

It's the politicians that start wars. Religion is used as the tool of the politicians to justify and motivate their people into doing what they are told. The religions of most countries condemn acts of violence. It is man who interprets the writings to justify their causes. If you research the history of religious wars, you will find, ultimately that the reason for the wars are not for their religious beliefs but the wealth of the countries the invaders covert.

The wars are not being started over religion, but because it is the evil of this world that has taken over this world. Stop blaming God for the evil deeds of satan and his followers. IF you are not with God, then you are among those who are destroying this world through the very evil who is at war today. This war is good agains evil.

What did religion have to with the major wars in the 20th Century?
1st World War, 2ND World War, Korean War, Vietnam war etc.
God created man with free will, that allows man the freedom to wage war on his fellow man, whether they claim it's religious or not doesn't mean God condones it

Because God is good and people are not.
Also, I would seriously challenege the notion that the vast majority of wars are due to religion. Religion might be the nominal reason, but power-mongering, xenophobia, and ethnocentricity are much more likely the causes.

I believe that all different religions are basically aimed at helping people cope with life - and millions of people are comforted by religion. I think the problem occurs when religious texts are misconstrued or interpreted by narrow minds. It's all very complicated but....to always respect others point of view and to be empathetic to others and their religions is a good starting point!
