Freedom for all

Freedom is meant for all however realistically that is not possible. Some races due to their ethnicity are deprived of some of this freedom and for some they face obstacles daily to be heard and to obtain the freedom that they deserve. But unfortunately that is life and everyone soon learns that in life not everything is fair and equal and easy. We have come a long way to get to this point as far as human rights, civil rights, etc so I'll take that and appreciate what I've got.

I was at the 7-11
I ate a burrito
I drank a slurpee
I was tired
It was late after work washing dishes
The burrito was good
I had another

I did it for a week
I did it for a month

To cook a burrito you tear off the plastic wrapper
You push button #3 on the microwave
Burritos are large, small, or medium
Red or green chili peppers
Beef or been or both
There are 7-11's all across the nation

On the way out I bought a quart of beer for $1.39
I was aware of social injustice
In only the vaguest possible way

Freedom is being able to do anything, at all, at any time. Morality is knowing when you should or shouldn't. Justice is for when you get it wrong.

Freedom is precious to us americans and only a dream for others who are willing to risk their lives to reach our shores which a majority of americans simply take for granted. I personally as a Veteran know the price we pay for our freedom yet there are those that turn a blind eye and take it for granted. Those who risk their lives to reach our shores that come from countries where there are no freedoms or rights are only doing what you or I would also attempt had we been unfortunate to have been born there. Unfortunately we are born wherever we are and some are more fortunate than others. Now those people that come to this country to find work, illegally crossing our borders are not seeking freedom for they have that in their country but there are no jobs available so they come here and infringe on our freedoms by taking jobs away from americans and immigrants who come here legally. I keep hearing that all they take are low paying jobs that american people wouldn't take. I for one know that they come here and take construction jobs which are high paying jobs. I had a big gripe about this problem in the 80's for they would take up jobs for a lower pay scale which made it hard for me to find work which took away my freedoms as an american veteran. I struggled for years with employement and after serving my country, protecting our freedom and our flag; I was denide employment and struggled to find work because of these illegal immigrants taking away my rights and freedoms which caused me hardships over many years of lost job opportunities and lost income from having to take lower pay scales and working in lower paying positions as I watched someone else who doesn't deserve the right to be here take a job that I was qualified for away from an american like myself and others like me. My American Dream to be succesful,my FREEDOM and my ability to enjoy my life as an american were taken away from me due to the problem that should have corrected years ago. My freedom as an american citizen I served my country proudly and so many have given their lives for has been taken away from me from people who didn't deserve to be here. My FREEDOM, OUR FREEDOMS are being stolen from us and my country won't conpensate me for all the lost income and my right to be able to enjoy my life for I should have established myself financially but was unable to because MY FREEDOMS as an AMERICAN were violated by our own government elected officials who wouldn't do anything about this problem in fear of losing latin votes. I am an American Veteran and Proudly, Faithfully, and Honorably served my country just to watch my American Dream given away to people who didn't rightfully earn my FREEDOMS. I still love my country and allways will and would stand up to protect and fight for it if called upon. Yet I have to fight for my FREEDOM all over again, for my FREEDOM was given away to those who didn't deserve or have a right to have it.
