To be loved and ultimately to please their owner if they are treated well in return. If you saw my dog you would understand that... he thinks he is a scarf lol he is the most gentle big sop of a mutt and its all down to lots of TLC (12 years worth!) Dogs goals are basically just to get attention 24/7 from the people they depend on to survive. In the wild though, survival is a dogs only goal.

I think those are the goals for most humans. Jaja. But we do it reverse, eat a lot, drink to much and never get enought sleep because you have to work. Jaja, but for dogs I guess is have a loyal owner, be feed and loved. Someone that takes them out for nice walks and stuff like that!

You omitted sniffing butts and crotches! They are like land-sharks, opportunistic feeders who wait with great anticipation for food to fall to the floor. I honestly believe that dogs just want to be our pals, they wouldn't get all excited to go for a walk if this wasn't the case! Peace

To be loved and get petted, and to eat and/or roll in anything stinky, then jump in your bed for kisses

Dogs are social. They want to please their people. In the wild though- you hit the nail on the head.
