Mexican religious influence on the USA .......(question deleted by Yahoo so I am repeating it) ?

Question

I live in Mexico and seen that almost every city in every state has some sort of Virgin symbol that they claim to have seen at a side of a hill, road etc. Virgins such as Virgin of Talpa, Gutalupe, Zapopan etc etc etc that Mexicans build shires for.
How come Americans dont see virgins of anything.... appear at the side of hill, road etc but only Mexicans. Mexicans (since USA now has a large number if Mexicans, legal and illegals) even claim to see the Virgins in lots of places in even the USA even in chocolate factory, hill side, road side, farms, river side, lake side, old building, in pan cakes etc etc. Why do only Mexicans only see these so called Virgins....
Is it the the lack of education, stupidity, deep belive system from generation and the fear of god or the excess amount of drinking, dope usage etc that the Spanish people engage in etc...and how soon before each and every state / town in the USA starts to build a shrine to virgins as well...

Only Catholics see visions of the virgin Mary, it's because they are told at a very young age. If Protestants saw a vision of Mary I'd start to wonder.

As you already know, much of it comes from the culture itself....Mothers, are seen with the highest honor, in the Mexican culture....I think the Virgin Mary is an extension of that....Lets face it, the Virgin is worshiped in Mexico, she is held in the highest esteem, and many people see her as salvation....BTW, its not only in Mexico! This is also tied into art and expression and that's why you see so many Virgins depicted through art....Its part of culture and tradition, and actually, I enjoy looking at the folk art, associated with the Virgin.....I don't follow this belief, that the Virgin is scared, but I certainly find it fascinating and interesting and I enjoy the folk art....You know, you can see something and find fault with it, but the beauty can be hidden....You have to look for it....Expand your mind a little, after all you do live in Mexico.....

I recall a few news casts where people have spotted images of the virgin in a few places. One incident involved a shadow cast by a street light through the branches of a tree. The resulting image did appear in the shape of the virgin. Nobody build a shrine for it, but it did bring plenty of visitors for a while, and they were of all races.

I should hope that you're not trying to turn this into some sort of a racist view.

Yep, plenty drama ! surprisingly sufficient I nonetheless sense an identical way as I constantly have, realising that everybody is diverse and everybody has an opinion. Neither are unavoidably regular in this internet site as all of us understand. regrettably there are no longer sufficient open minds that would desire to or could settle for different thoughts to the main suitable being straightforward to maximum as God. no rely if it rather is cautioned, there is not any terrific answer or factors, purely abuse. humorous undertaking is a good style of atheists connect the religious ones to disagree with the area nuts. I don't think its always Mexican people who see these visions. Italian newspapers report such visions seen all the time. You are just trying to stir up trouble. My friend the "Spanish" person, or as he is known, the Spaniard, reports that visions of virgens are also seen in Spain and France. You must be another Mexico basher.

First of all if indeed you live in Mexico and talk about the virgins why is it that you can't spell Guadalupe right? I mean c'mon what the heck is a Gutalupe?

And I am also going to repeat myself. I am Mexican and I am Christian not Catholic. I don't believe in a lot of virgins. If they choose to believe in a lot of virgins, they DO have freedom of religion, let them be, get off their nuts for once. Just like some Asians believe in Buddah and Muslims in Allah.... its all their business not yours!!

If I were looking for Elvis everywhere, I'd find him...in half eaten grilled cheese sandwiches, candy bars, malformed turnips, etc.

I suppose it's the same for looking for The Virgin.

I doubt it has anything to do with controlled substances or stupidity.

i agree with you. the only part virgin Mary had in it all was she was the mother to Jesus. it says thou shalt have no other god before me. for i am a joules god. 10 commandments. maybe there all the above.

Each Religion should be respected...But I don't want a Mary shrine every 10 feet. That would be ridiculous.
