Try this... Glass of red wine on the boil one teaspoon of oil. When hot put one finely chopped onion in and cook till as red as the wine. Add a finely chopped apple and again leave on the boil for 3 or 4 minutes. Allow the wine to restrict itself by around 50% and add a finely chopped piece of bacon with all fat removed. when the bacon darkens add half a kilo of ground beef. allow to simmer, stirring regularly until all the liquid is almost gone. Next add some tomatoe puree and mix till the tomato is absorbed into the meat. Wash big cabbage leaves and wrap small parcels of meat in them. fasten together with tooth picks. Then bring water to the boil and scald the parcels for a few seconds before serving.

Nothing fancy, just a good homecooked meal. definitly not low fat but u could use low carb or wheat pasta. instead of getting it out of the box, use 1lb ground beef, add cream of mushroom soup with s&p to taste. maybe some garlic salt/powder and some italian season. add noodles. u got homemade hamburger helper. for a topping you could mix seasoned breadcrumbs w/ melted butter and sprinkle on top.
