The native language is Hawaiian. It is enjoying a
grand revival in the Islands and there are even
primary schools where it is used exclusively.
The only island where it is the primary language
is Niihau.
Hawaiian is a very beautiful language. One of my
favorite sentences is the state motto:
Ua mau ka ea o ka 'aina i ka pono,
which means
The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness.
Some of the words:
mau = always, forever
ea = life
'aina = land
pono = righteousness
Aloha 'oe!

It is Hawaiin. It is a dialect of the Japanese-or Nippon-language that Hawaiins can speak. I mean, when you ever visit over there, you are going to hear a lot of people of Japanese descent speak their homeland language. But, there are American-born Japanese who lives over there that will speak in a Japanese-like language, which will be considered slang to the natural Japanese born people.
I hope this helped.
