Tough! He has obviously been tagged/curfewed for a reason - and that reason is likely that he is out and about and up to no good at night!

IF he works nights at the weekends, he should have told the judge/magistrate this and they if his work was genuine, legal work, then they would have made an exclusion IF they thought it appropriate.

So, if his conditions are that he must stay in at a certain address between 6pm and 6am, then this is what he must do.

He can always speak the FREE solicitor who has been provided for him and ask him to get this changed.

The idea of tagging is to inconvenience and restrict an offender.
When bail conditions were imposed a tag curfewing his movements was seen to be a good way of controlling his movements.

Maybe he should have thought about what restrictions mean BEFORE committing an offence, rather than getting his mum to pose a silly question and bleat for him!

He should have had this arranged by now. My friend is a professional footballer and he got tagged from 7am - 7pm, which wasn't a problem until it came to away games and evening matches. His solicitor spoke to the court and they agreed to extend the curfew as long as his manager notified them in advance as was prepared to vouch for him. So as long as he can prove he's working it shouldn't be a problem.
Oh and just a tip, but you could also do what i did with my friend and slap him round the head and tell him not to be such a tw@t next time.

if his conditions say from 6 til 6 then it doesnt matter what day it is, he cant go out in those times. there is no point talking to the police as they are not in charge of who goes on tag - that it is the courts or prison depending on if he has been released from jail or given it after a trial. so they would be the people to talk to if you want to query it, but they rarely change it, people are given curfew for a reason and fair enough he needs to work but they wont just change it to cater to his needs

He's tagged as an alternative to jail. He's lucky to be able to have 12 hours free time during the day. He'll have to get a different job.

What is his "weekend job" anyway? Hopefully not breaking and entering!

No. It is obviously for a nightime crime so why should weekends be excluded. That would be 3 more nights he would be liable to re-offend. Hopefully, as it is proving to be an inconvenience the tag will prove a deterrent in his case.

Hmmmmm! He would have been told all this by his PO when the tag was attached. The answer is no. Obviously!

If you've got any questions about it talk to his PO. or phone force enquiries.
Failing that he could try going out with it on! Pretty sure I know what would happen though!

My son has been put on a tag from 6pm untill 6am, can he have it taken off at weekends ? It amazes me you can switch on a computer, no wonder your poor child has found himself in trouble, clearly he had no one to educate him or lead by example. You are a disgrace and should not have ever been permitted to have children. You have succeeeded in further swelling the criminal classes, well done.
