If the this situation were to happen between America and Europe, their would be no winners..America has over 2000 IBM's and Europe have what is known as the secret navy who will be the only ones coming out of it alive...perhaps! There are never any winners in a war, the last war over 68million people were killed, if their is a third world war you can reckon with...that over 60% of the world population will be vapourized by the Atomic Missiles.
The other 40% will take over a 100 years to rebuild the planet because of radiation fallout.

Or if you prefer a serious answer, I can't see the situation arising but if it did, I'd rather be on the side of the Americans. Not because I think they would win (believe me, there would be no winners)! It's simply that I believe the American nation is our closest ally.

I think the first person made a valid point regarding the killing of the ITN correspondent. However, this is an isolated incident and the soldier(s) who carried out this cowardly act must be brought to justice as soon as possible without harming the relationship that co-exists between the two most democratic nations on this planet.

If you include Russia which is partly in Europe the US would have a slight problem.It could only end in nukes result would be a draw.The polititions who would have started this theoretical war would survive as they all have their own personel bunkers.Would it not be a good idea to have a chat about the problem in the first case .before releasing armageddon.We should be talking about how to resolve the worlds problems ,ie current wars,desease,famine,gobal warming,pollution just to name a few rather than a war between the US and Europe which is very unlikly.
