It's true.They do it here in Ohio as well.The dogs are put into a chamber and gassed,or all of the air is rapidly sucked from the chamber,causing the dogs lungs to collapse.It's a horrible way to die,and they call themselves 'Humane societies".It's anything but humane.It's done to cats,too,and puppies and kittens of all ages.That's why it's so important for people to spay and neuter their pets and stop giving them up to shelters.If you can't or won't keep an animal for life,then don't get one.

OK yes Hurricane Katrina relief efforts was an overall tragic situation.
Now if they were willing to leave people in bad situations I hardly think a pet was anywhere on their list.
There is nothing we can do about hurricane Katrina but learn from all the horrible mistakes that were made. Like all the nursing home victims that were left to die.
The things that happened is something I would have expected in a third world country. So maybe America will open their eyes and be prepared for the next tragedy that occurs in this country. Prepared or not it will happen.

LOL! Don't post links to animal rights groups as sources of real facts! They doctor videos, tell halftruths and outright lies to further their no more pets agenda.
PeTA kills 85-90% of all the pets they 'rescue'. I can't believe there are still people around who buy into their propaganda.
