There was actually some research into this by the university of illinois back in the 19th century. The conclusion that they came to is that when Santa was flying around on his Reindeer powered sleigh he got up to such phenomanal speeds that he sometimes came upon Negative G's. These negative Gs applied so much pressure onto his scrotal sack that his little 'swimmers' were left permantely disorientated.
Now obviously i know what you're thinking, surely when he realeases his swimmers the next bunch would be fine anda ble to fertilise. unfortunately negative G disorientation as its become known is heriditary and therefore passed onto the the next bunch, and so on thus forming a vicious circle of infertility. It was also rumoured that santa was dating J.LO (lets be honest who hasnt) but she dumped him cos he was firing blanks. Poor Santa
