Personally I dont believe there are ANY good doorstep lenders in the UK - they ALL rip you off on interest payments. One of the biggest and most well known who are widely used is Provident. They have a website if you do a google search you'll find them.

Provident is probably the biggest in the UK, but their interest rates are very very high, mostly due to the convenience of you getting cash instantly really. There are some smaller organisations that operate and cannot compete with Provident being so nationwide so offer a smaller interest rate to gain custom..have a look through your yellow pages or try a web search for instant cash credit providers for your town on the web. Try not to get in trouble with this as my oldest son is still paying off a £500.00 loan he had 2 yrs ago the interest was over £400.00 on that loan, nearly double what he borrowed & that was from a doorstep lender. Watch out for local sharks toooo, if you really HAVE to do this

I agree with the others who suggest avoinding doorstep lenders as their credit is very expensive. Approach instead a local credit union, citizens advice bureau or even look for quotes on comparison websites like www.moneysupermarket.com

A fantastic, consumer-orientated site with tonnes of free advice is www.moneysavingexpert.com

provident are the main one, really be careful though, very high interest rates etc. i know you are probably desperate, go to your citizen advice bureau for advice before you take on any more credit
