She doesn't steal from stores, she steals from relatives. Me and her Dad are her favorite targets, but she steals from her sisters, brother, Mother-in-law..

i am not much of an expert seeing as i am under age but try and talk to her about it. find out why she is doing she may just be acting out. but see if talking to her will help at all.

It is well known that we hurt the ones that we most love. I hear you say that her favorite targets are you and your husband. I wonder if it because you and your husband do not punish her for her behavior? What do you do when she steals from you? Are you allowing her to continue in her behaviour by not showing her that there are consequences for her behavior? Does she live with you? If she does she pay her part of the expenses? I remember when I was 21 yrs old and lived with my parents, I had a drug and alcohol problem, my parents threw me out. Do you know that alot of people would say that is so cruel? No, it is tough love. When they threw me out I got the help that I needed, I am 43 and have been clean since they threw me out. My parents would not allow for me to live in their house and continue in my behavior. And yes I did steal from them. I believe that there should be consequences for your daughters behavior.Tough love is always the best. What consequence you decide to impose on your daughter is your choice. But guaranteed if she sees there are consequences the behavior most likely will be minimized. Good Luck!

Does she live with you? I would set her up on tape and take it to the police and then let her return the missing items
It's called tough love
She is too old for this, she needs to take responsibility for her actions, before she does it to someone else and they take it into their hands and physically harm her, take measures now, it's better safe than sorry
She may also need counseling for that

Call the cops and let her go to jail if she is 27 you are not going to stop her if i would have done that my folks would beat the crap out of me then call the cops! she is not going to stop untill you all say enough is enough

hello there, it is clear she needs some help, counselling perhaps, if she knows you know maybe you could help her to get help. I'm sure she dosnt feel good about doing this she may be a cliptomaniac (i think thats how ya spell it) it is actually a sickness, please seek help, this type of behaviour untreated can break families up.
