I feel very self-conscious about my body. I'm not FAT but i have a little belly. and big thighs, some just call it as being thick. But I want to know how I can stop hating myself and my body. How to control what i eat.

My Dad used to tell me that when I woke up in the morning and looked in the mirror, if I liked the person there looking back at me I was doing OK. Since you are the only person in the world you HAVE to live with, you might as well be friends!.

Control is self induced. You either exercise your self control or you don't. Other than being in prison, that's your choice. And there's the word. Choice. Choose green tea before coffee with sugar and cream. Iced tea or water with lemon rather than soda. Grapes and watermelon before ice cream.

Walk. Walk. And walk some more. That will tone your body, wake up your cardiovascular system and you'll see things you normally won't see driving. You may meet some nice people, too.

I know of very few women who don't have something they dislike about their bodies. If you don't like it, change what you can. Hate is the singe most destructive emotion there is. It accomplishes nothing but ugliness. Look at it this way. How can others like or love you when you give off all these negative vibes and don't even like yourself? You are who you are. Change what you can and learn to love the rest. You're probably a sensitive caring individual or you wouldn't be asking for help to begin with. Start by being your best friend and telling the mirror what you'd be telling her!
Good luck - (:

The only way to feel good about yourself is to stop comparing yourself to other women. Not everyone was meant to be a size 0. In fact if you look closely at those women you will realize that they really don't look all that great. The skinnier they get the bigger their heads look. I am not a big girl but I don't worry and stress over gaining weight. If you just stay conscious about what you eat compared to the amount of activity you have in your day then you will be fine. If you like to snack try buying those 100 calorie snack packs. They're great!! You still get to munch on junk food during the day but you don't have to feel guilty about it because they are very low calorie. Another tip for not gaining weight is to never buy any clothes that are a bigger size than the size you wear now. If you clothes start to get a little snug then that's a sign you need to add a little more activity to your daily routine, not a sign that you need to buy bigger clothes. Don't sweat it....we are females, that alone makes us beautiful.

Try not to beat yourself up about having 'a little belly.' No one is 100% satisfied with their body. I bet if you start to incorporate healthy food into your daily diet and work out (or just walk) a couple times a week, you will start to feel better! It's all psychological! And do not stress. :)
