Assuming that they are now Daimler/Benz/Chrysler,,,hopefully they have improved greatly over the former.

Worth is relative and subjective, but I have an opinion about that.

Consider, especially over the past 3 years, how Chrysler has crafted "designs" that are definte "classics" even "collectables"

Others copy those BTW.

Also,,,and with NO OFFENSE meant to Detroit, or anyone in the industry,,, It's really all about competition, and an EDGE!

The fact that I may be a strong GM or FORD fan, has less to do with quality than it may be an inherited, experiential issue.

I have to believe,,,new or old,,, there are as many Chrysler Products on the road today, as many others.

As a car BUFF, I'd love to own the following.
Plymouth Prowler
Viper
1957 Plymouth Convert (Christine)
CrossFire
300
Charger
EVEN a PT cruiser
Etc.

If for no other reason than to add them to a collection.

Generally... no.

I have a Dodge Ram that just required a rebuilt engine due to failed water pump at 60k miles.

What you get with Chrysler is good looking vehicles that break down as much as FORDs.

It all depends on the year and model of the Chrysler. Naturally you can find owners that have had great and miserable expereinces with any car. You best bet is to research the car on the web.

Do a search on "Chrysler reliability" and you should find sites that collect consumer feedback (i.e., http://www1.epinions.com/auto). Some other good auto sites are edmunds.com, kbb.com, nada.com and msn.com.

In general, "poor" in terms of reliability. Check any year of the Car Book from Consumer Reports at the library, and you'll see what I mean.
