1. What are some of the benefits/perks that you look for in a bank?

2. If you had a reward for using your credit card (miles, points), what would you like to purchase with those miles or points.

3. What would a bank have to offer in order for you to switch banks?

Thanks

look for a bank that isn't going to charge service fees just to have an account. a good bank offers completely free checking with no minimum balance, no limits on check writing, a free debit card, etc. check out www.1stsource.com for an example of a good bank. some banks offer perks if you have direct deposit. no matter where you go, if you use an ATM that isn't from your bank, you will receive a network charge and a charge from the ATM's bank. if you stick with ATM's that your bank owns, you have no charges.
also, customer service is paramount. who cares if the bank is big but their customer service sucks? i'd rather have a small, friendly bank than a big, cold one. they should go out of their way to provide you with the best customer service possible, and never make you feel out of place or unwelcome. you are the reason for their work, not the interruption of it.
as far as my credit card goes, i get points back and i spend them on gift cards.
i would not switch banks. i am happy with who i'm with now...but if i ever got a job at a different bank, i would probably move some of my stuff there. but only if their customer service was better than where i'm at now.

I look for a bank that has no account fees & free atm's & debit cards. As far as rewards for checking - I look for miles to take trips & low APR's. As far as an offer to switch banks, I'm not realy sure - haven't found any offers yet that make me think "wow, I have to switch"
