Totally agree. Did you know that Pit Bulls are the #1 abused dog in America? Only 1 out of 9 live out there natural life.

Pit Bulls are no more or less dangerous than any other breed. The Pit Bull breed standard says that they are happy and easy going dogs who love family and children. They are extremely obedient and aim to please, they do not make good guard dogs because they are friendly to almost anyone. They have a zest for life and are extremely affectionate. Sadly another breed trait that has been bred into them is aggression towards other animals especially other dogs. Although not all Pit Bulls are aggressive towards other animals the breed trait makes them more prone to this. Pit Bulls have a high prey drive and like to chase rabbits, squirrels, cats etc. They are not Human aggressive at all. In fact due to dog fighting they had to be in close contact with people which has made them obedient and have a love of people. Pits have bad raps... which are unfair. Pit Bulls like all dogs are not good nor bad. They are dogs.

the people that are raising pits to be mean and to fight are giving the breed a bad name. Denver has already banned pit bull but the messed up part is that they were going in and taking bulldogs that weren't even pit bulls. I've had a hard time down here southern colorado because they deem anything that looks remotely like a pit bull.. that it is a pit and is dangerous. I have an Olde English Bulldogge. It's ridiculous. The government shouldn't be able to tell us what kinds of dogs we can own!

I totally agree. I have two Pitt's. Both whom i love dearly but we did have one who we had to put down. He was very aggressive and extremely large. Our nephew left our gate open and he and our female got out and attacked a small dog down the street. My husband literally had to choke the life out of him to get him off the dog. It was a horrible thing that happened. All the neighborhood kids were out and he didn't go near them just for the dog. I think these dogs are like any other dogs not realizing there own strength at times. I think the idea of banning a breed is ridiculous. If owners are responsible they will take care of the problem themselves. It killed us to put our dog down but we felt it was necessary

Most of the anti-dog laws, including BSL, are introduced/pushed by the animal rights groups. Love animals??? Not so much. They want to end all pet ownership and anti-dog legislation is the most effective tool they have.

If you love animals, HSUS, PeTA, DDAL, IDA, FFA, BF, etc are NOT your friends!!!
