Your gums need a rest, too. If you have NO teeth at all left in your mouth, take them out for sleep. Leave them in plain water when they are not in your mouth.
If you still have some teeth in the opposite jaw, it is better to sleep with the denture in so that it protects the surgical area for about 3 week from the day the teeth were removed.
I have not seen your mouth and your dentist might have a different recommendation, but that's my usual recommendation.

Well, normally you are suppose to remove them when you go to bed, however they are going to need more adjustments until you feel them completely comfortable, while this happens, is recommended to use them as much as you can, that way the dentist can see where the sores spots are and smooth that area in the dentures. It is important that you talk to your dentist about, is also good to know that your jaw tends to get bone loss after a long period of time, good question for your dentist next time.

leave the dentures out at night and soak them in water or denture cleansing solution. Your mouth needs a break. Some people can get a yeast infection going on in there if the dentures don't come out and let the area 'breathe'.

.. even though you have been to your dentist ,you are not finished yet!!!! you may need to go in several more times for a adjustment.your gums do need time to adjust to them .it will take time to get used to wearing them. go back to see your dentist!!!you paid for the services and you wont be charged for a adjustment. also ask if if its OK to remove them at night while the gums are healing. after they do you can remove the denture every night if you want,,,,, >>> good luck

Take the dentures out at night and soak them in a denture cleaning solution. If you keep them in at night, you will cause more gum irritations than you might want.

if you have sore spots you should go back , by them being immediate and having recent extractions your gums and bone will be changing alot in the coming months, requiring minor adjustments, i suggest that you remove them at night to let your gums rest.

I suggest you call your dentist office and ask them. The last thing you want to do is wear or not wear them and cause more pain in the long run.
