For your particular situation, you might want to review this with your healthcare practitioner. For me, I am using Stack Body Tune Up weight loss system and Advanced Cell Therapy energy drink. The Stack has a protein ice cream drink, citrus boosters, and supplements. All of these contain hoodia. I have lost 35 pounds since July 15, 2006 and 10" in the waist. My blood pressure actually has come down since I started in July. It was at Stage 5 Hypertension and now it is borderline high.

It can raise your blood pressure. It does increase other processes in your body. However, when I used it once, my heartrate increased and my blood pressure fell dramatically. Ask your doctor.
