Analog is the lower of the two. You do not get as sharp and clear of a picture with it as you would with a digital tuner. The easiest analogy I could think of would be, say you ask someone to make change for a $100 and they only gave you $85 back, that would be analog. With digital you would get your full $100 back. With analog you do not receive the same signal that was sent out to you, you loose quality. With digital there is very little to no signal lost.

It does not matter if it LCD or not, it's the same concept for all display types.

First of all it ONLY matters if you get your signal over the air, if you have cable or satellite, you don't have to worry. An analog tuner is able to receive the traditional analog television signals, while a digital tuner can receive the new digital over the air signals. Digital is of better quality, and after 2009 will be the only way to receive over the air signals.

Categorically There is no difference . There is no such thing as a digital tuner !. The only difference is the range of frequency's that a particular tuner is capable of receiving . Cheers Pete
