Well, one of my very best friends in life was five feet 3 inches. But that did not stop him from doing "anything!" He did not see himself as short, and didn't give a "hoot" who did! He was a truck driver for over 50 years, and a good one at that. He was my late husbands best friend, and after my husband died, his best friend & I became roomates & best friends. My friend died this past summer at the age of 73. But I will always remember him as the "tallest short man" I've ever known. He showed me and a lot of others, that height has nothing to do with whats in a persons heart, mind, and soul. Hold your head
up girlie, you're taller than you know. Oh, and by the way? Being shorter, you can fit in places tall people "can't! I am 5 feet 8 inches, & wish at times I were "your" height. So remember, height has nothing to do with the person God made you to be, your "size" is whatever "you" see, not others, okay?

I'm 5'3" but I don't mind it at all. It feels weird when I'm standing next to tall people, or even my family (I think I came out the runt, lol) But it's not so bad. Not to mention it's easy to shop for a shorter height rather than tall.

There are ways you can play it up though if it's getting to be a problem. Pinstripe pants/slacks with some high heels will do the trick. Avoid long skirts or dresses or anything that comes down to your mid calf, this will shorten you even more. Knee length for dresses and skirts is good. Tan heels or pale pink heels will make your legs look longer. Also wearing your hair up will lengthen your neck and make you look a little taller.

Being short ROCKS! Even short men are taller than you so you have a lot more options than tall girls. Plus, 5'2" is not that short!! It is an attractive size.
And...joke from guys....What's the only thing better than 2 long legs wrapped around your back? 2 short legs trying!

How lucky you are to be short. I have been 5'8" since I was 13 yrs. I have always felt like a giant around my friends. And because I am taller I always feel that I need to keep very slim, so I don't look so manly. I would love to be short. But then, the grass is always greener on the other side.

So of the nicest poeple I know are your hieght. My wife is 5'1" i'm 6'4". Some of my best friends and good buddies are short. If you have a good personality you will never be lonely. Most of the tall girls I dated before i was married were conceded & stuck on themselves. I was with a good friend of mine who is 4'7" when a guy was giving him grief about being short. I was going to intervene when he said to me I got this. He walked up to the guy & his reply was I maybe short but at least I don't have to swing up to hit you were it counts. The place erupted in laughter & I have never laughed so hard. I have a secretary at the office that is 5'0" & she is a very very nice person I wouldn't trade her for the world. When poeple see the good person you are. It doesn't matter how tall you are. Never try to change yourself into something your not to try & please others.

wow, you think you're short?? i'm 20 as well and i'm only 5 feet flat! I wish i could be just a couple taller but hey, nothing for me to do about it. But when we're short, we're 'cuter' and we can actually wear 4 inch heels without being taller than our man! Oh and we can pick up things closer to the ground. haha. PLUS our feet aren't as long/big as taller girls which i personally think is not so attractive. So are you still depressed by your height?

Hey I am your height and I love every moment of it! I get compliments like I'm petite or cute even when I gorge out like a pig sometimes!

I get mistaken for being really young even when I approach my thirties. It's wonderful because I don't need to blow off my fortune on botox and youngish looking clothes to look young.

I get to wear pretty sun dresses and not look like Babe: Pig in the City nor Babe's hideously large female owner. Somehow, shorter girls carry off certain types of clothes better than the tall lanky girls.

And the best part of the deal is, my boyfriend loves me even more, especially when I look small and defenceless. He's 1.86m, by the way. That's real girl power!

I have a daughter who is 5'1" and she has never had a problem. My other two daughters are 5"6" and 5'7" and they are not nearly as happy as my shortest daughter. Her height has never been an issue except when her husband who is 6"5" puts things in the cabinets above the stove where she has to use a step stool to get them. She is a successful office manager and has the best job record of any of my kids. She is happy with herself and leads a very happy life. Height has nothing to do with happiness.

Just be yourself and everything else will fall into place. Be happy for who you are and not how tall you are.

5'2" is that really even short? My wife is 5'7" though I may tease her a bit about being short, the truth is that I like her height. The point being that most men prefer their women to be shorter than they are and from your perspective that makes a lot more guys accessible to you.

Besides, for those of use who are smart, we all know that what matters most is the mind inside the body and not its vertical orientation.

I am 27 and have been 4'11 since I was about 14.
(actually if you go by my Dr's measurments I am 4'10 3/4)

I always say that I don't mind being short because I never hit my head on stuff.
