The title "rabbi" is given to someone who has received "smicha." Smicha is given to someone after they've passed a test of sorts given to them by the rebbi (the leader/teacher) of their yeshiva (school where Torah and Talmud is studied). I'd say that the same way a doctor convicted with murder isn't stripped of his title "doctor," a rabbi isn't either. But likewise, the same way you wouldn't want to go to that doctor, you wouldn't want to ask your questions to that rabbi.

There's no sure answer, but I think so. As a jew, I can tell you that if a "rabbi" committed atrocious acts he would no longer be considered a rabbi (perhaps very learned, but not a rabbi).

All who teach that Jesus Christ is not the Lord are stripped of that title eventually!
