Jalion is an unusual name and I'm not sure how you are pronouncing it. The boys I know spell Brandan as Brandon, either way they do sound the same. I think Joshua Brandon would be a better name because he may have trouble in school of being teased about his name being Jalion. Even having to spell that name constantly during his entire lifetime.
Good luck and Congratulations. Best wishes to you and your new boy!

No. There was a report on 20/20 about 2 weeks ago about how names affect the way people see you and that having "different names" can be detrimental when one goes to look for work.
Give the kid a normal name and save him a lifetime of unemployment.

Sweetie, when you think of a name to give your child try to think about how it will sound 50 years from now. You can name your child anything you want, but do be considerate. While the name you have chosen is definitely unique, it does sound a bit feminine perhaps it would work better for a girl?

DON'T DO IT!!!!!
His name will be mispronounced and misspelled for his entire life. Why would you want to do that to him because you want to be cute?
Pick something more traditional such as Steven or William. Or use the name of a elder or departed relative.
