Our marvelous planet earth will be here forever. What does the Bible teach us about the earth? These Scriptures will help you:
"One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever."--Ecclesiastes 1:4 (KJV)
"Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth."-- Psalm 119:90
"But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."--Psalm 37:11
"Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever."--Psalm 104:5
"For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else. "--Isaiah 45:18 (ASV)
"The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah; But the earth hath he given to the children of men."-- Psalm 115:16 (ASV)
The "world " that will be destroyed, will be the world of ungodly people. God promises to destroy those who destroy the earth by their wars and pollution--"And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."
Rev 11:18
Our earthly home is here to stay.

No, I do not.
I've read the bible and have read Revelations many times due to a radio drama that I was writing based on it. Considering all my reading and reading, I've come to the conclusion that John's revelation was in fact a fever dream. We know that he was sick while he was on the Island of Platmos and what is written in Revelations is classic fever dream stuff. It is incredibly dark and goes from one nightmarish catastrophe to another. Not only that, by simply looking at it from the all powerful god stance, I must ask this question.
Why does it take so many attempts to deal with satan? There is a final battle but there are also many battles prior - the first at the hands and sword of the Archangel Michael - where satan is not effectively handled. Consequently, given that god is supposed to be the ultimate power in the universe, why so many failures?
I personally believe that John took what he dreamed and embellished it for the masses. It's not very exciting to simply have god shout, "Enough!" then step on satan and be done with it. The build up to the final event makes for a better story. And that's what I believe to be true. He had a fever dream then created a frightening story that would hook into the masses of that time, which would then create the desired result. Compliance.

Prophecy has been fulfilled so far.Why would that change now? Research it,you will find that God is giving us all kinds of little clues to show that he is real and all powerful. Many years this old rock has been spinning no wonder everybody fights, has different views on things. That is our nature as humans, but what all of us has to remember is all things must come to an end somehow, someway, and someday.God doesn't have to destroy the earth, man has got a head start.
This might be his will. Then again it may not.God gave man free will to do and believe as he chooses, but that doesn't mean to do whatever you want and it's okay.
King Solomon had anything and everything he could ever want in life, but when his life was coming to a close he said, consider the works of God.For all other things are vanity. When you lay all your burdens and surrender your life to Jesus completely, you wont ever think another thing about the world ending. To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord.Unbelievers cannot understand why Christians feel the way we do simply because they refuse to believe.Nothing is impossible for God.

Clearly.
And hang on, from here on in, it's going to get bumpy!
Seriously: Yes, so far the Bible is right on the money. If you check out some of the scientific geo-patterns, political strategim, and socio-economic models, this stuff is straight off the page of the good book.
CNN and the WeatherChannel should have postscripts: This Program Adapted from the Novel: "The Bible" written by God et al.
Have you READ it? Its eerie!
My question is why are we so surprised?
The thing is, there is a happy ending... I know 'cause I skipped to the end shhhhhh.. ;)

This cataclysmic world ending has been predicted so often from bible interpretations as to become totally meaningless and ludicrous.
Besides, why would any rational, thinking person give any credence to the flawed, hypocritical, contradictory, much rewritten and incredulous disproved text as the bible?

I was not aware that the book of truths and half truths said that the world was going to end. I thought all of mankind was going to end.
What about this pray:
Glory be to the father ,to the son and to the holy spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be a world without end. Amen
Just wondering that's all.
So my overall answer to your question is no. Not because i don't want to believe but because i am not aware that the bible said so.

Nope. Armegeddon prophecies are leftovers from primitive times when cavemen saw meteors streaking across the sky or a cold winter and thought the world was ending. Modern humans have lasted over 10,000 years getting on perfectly fine and there's nothing coming around the corner, religious or otherwise that is gonna wipe us out. Inevitably someone is going to point out the dinosaurs probably thought that way too. However, any such similar catastrophe is not prophecised, and we are in the position to at least know about it in advance. Armegeddon is a convenient way not to worry about the future, which is something we shouldn't avoid doing.

Many misinterpret the 'world' to mean the earth. However, the Bible states that God formed it to be inhabited. What the Scriptures are refering to is this wicked system of things that is going to end.And God's heavenly Kingdom will rule over the earth from Heaven.(Rev.14:1-4;Dan.2:44)
From the fulfillment of other prophecies,we have no reason to doubt what the Bible tells us

I don't believe the Bible really says the world (earth) will end; I believe the earth will be purified of sin and returned back to the way God originally created it. The only thing I see will end is our way of life. Sinners will be purged from society and the righteous will inherit the earth.
If you meant, do I believe end times events will occur as they are explained in the Bible, my answer is yes. I take the Bible literally, except where we are expressly told God used symbolism; for example, Daniel, parts of Ezekiel and Revelation.
Peace.
