I guess what i'm asking is if you can have a drinker and an alcoholic, can you have a smoker and a smokaholic?

I don't know about everyone else, but I smoke about 30 a day.

I don't think there is such a thing as safe, moderate smoking - in my experience, people tending to smoke increasing amounts. Any amount of smoke is harmful.

I live my life in extremes. Some people are more moderate. I am not smoking at the moment, but when i do, i have 30-40 in a stretch. (a day or in an evening). Thomas the tank engine has nothing on me- puff puff.

I find it very difficult to have a glass of wine. I find a few bottles is best. The next day i have none.

Binging they call it i think. I'm probably not the rule, but then sometimes the exception makes the rule!

My smoker friends have 5 -20 cigs a day, so the average considering all the norms and binging is probably 10.

maybe that's why they sell them in 10's and 20's.

smoking can cause illnesses, it you have a gene that will cause an illness you will get that illness anyway even without smoking.

However, as my dad a non smoker said- would you put your head in a chimney?

To much is the answer. There is no such thing as moderate smoking. Every time you smoke you are filling your lungs with tar, nicotine and chemicals.

It's the most addictive drug on the open market and there is no cure. There may be patches, gum and other help but everybody who quits goes through cold turkey. The same as a heroin user. The only difference is that the government makes big money out of tax on tobacco and they don't make money out of heroin. They don't want cigarettes outlawed as they would be out of pocket by millions.

I'm a smoker and I buy twenty cigarettes a day. I don't smoke the whole packet in a day but I still smoke around 15 a day. That's 15 to much. I've tried going cold turkey with the patches but it didn't work for me. I've tried this 8 times.

Some people smoke up to 80 a day. Thats 4 packs a day. I don't know what happens to make them smoke this much.

The average British smoker spends £92,000 on cigarettes in a lifetime, according to research by Clerical Medical, enough money to buy a pension of £6,000! For each smoker that's a truly breathtaking average of 373,302 cigarettes smoked and 18,665 packets purchased.

On a yearly basis that breaks down to £1,500 spent on tobacco which works out to 6,060 individual fags (303 packets).

There is no such thing as safe smoking...it is harmful no matter what

No such thing as average.no point in cutting down, you are still a smoker. Get your head right and quit completely,I did it 25 years ago, it was difficult but worth the effort.

What do you advise; the time of day that the smoker smokes a cigarette (morning, night...), or how long it takes to smoke a cigarette? the cases of day that human beings smoke transformations finding on their own habit, yet in simple terms approximately all human beings who smoke smoke in the past and/or after doing something stressful--going to artwork, in the time of breaks at artwork, after artwork--because of the fact rigidity triggers longing for nicotine in an addict. It takes approximately 5 minutes to smoke a cigarette. human beings start up smoking out of interest or peer rigidity, like the stimulant results of nicotine, and keep smoking. regrettably, the "buzz" you get from a cigarette stops whilst your tolerance for nicotine will improve, and at last you smoke to stop your longing for cigarettes. that's how human beings get addicted.
