NOPE ITS NOT!!
One would be supporting out government.
One is supporting out troops. And thats a good thing. And a special thanks to the Girls Scouts of Richmond VA. We just got the Girls Scout Cookies you sent. You would not believe the smiles you brought to a bunch of guys and girls faces. Also, the cards and letters are still getting passed around. We shared some of our cookies with some of the local children. They don't have very much sugar there in Afghanistan. You would have thought we were passing out $100 bills. They thank you too.
That is supporting our troops. I'm not sure why you can't tell the difference? It's as plain as the smile of a cookie eating soldier's face.

Thank you for that question. I have been so verbally abused because I said why don't those young men come home.
Being called unamerican, against God. God put Republicans in the white house. The Churches back what Bush is doing.
So we are made to feel like we are actually fighting against God if we don't support Republicans in everything they do.
They have become Radical Supporters of everything Bush and this Administration does. I am an old lady and I have never seen the country so divided. I was an adult during the Viet Nam war and yes some people felt it was a bad idea to be in Viet Nam and later proved that it was. They were right.
56,000 young men including my younger brother who died there.
So I know all to well about the sacrifices these men give.
Through it all Democrats and Republicans remained friends.
Now, it is not that way. It has become a religious issue.
Some are saying this is the time of the end and Bush is the Anti-christ who was the one to make everyone believe he was from God. I don't believe that, but I do believe that this is the time of the end.
It meant a great deal to me to hear from a soldier who was actually seem battle, not just blindly go where some rich spoil men who were raised in wealth and priviledge sent him.
The rich educated, men of wealth and priviledge start wars.
It is the poor boys who go and fight them and die. Took me a very long lift time to figure that out. We haven't changed much from Kings and Queens.

This should have never happened. While I agree in general that something should be done about terrorism - I don't agree with this half-****** plan that seems to be making quite a bit of $$$$$ at the expense of our military. They are getting shafted and it's time to get them home asap - starting today would be great!
We cannot police the entire middle east. Iraq has been destabilized and many people there have little respect for America now. I believe it's worse than it was, they resent our interference and by us remaining there it will worsen - imagine that.
There is this old saying - know when to get off a dead horse. I guess there is too much arrogance (and greed) in politics to admit a mistake. My best to all the troops and their families.

As a veteran, you should know that you are talking about apples & oranges;
1) Supporting the President (just happens to be Bush at the moment).
2) Supporting the war (which happens to be in Afghanistan & Iraq at the moment).
3) Supporting the troops (a lot of whom happen to be far from home at the moment).
1) As civilians, we have the option of supporting the President or not supporting him, depending for the most part on whether we voted for him or not. People in the military don't have that choice, even though they can vote for whomever they wish, they must, by law, support the President as he is their Commander-in-Chief.
2) Anybody (military or civilian) who supports war in & of itself is foolish. George Washington said "There is no such thing as a good war or a bad peace".
3) Military folks go where they are sent, to do the job they are told to do, until they are told to pack it up & head home. Period. They are just doing their job. Who in their right mind would NOT support them? They have the toughest job in the world, and I sleep better at night knowing that they are out there. We don't ask them to die, we ask them to serve, they volunteer, & they all know the risks. And I think they are all prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice if necessary.
And finally, here's a slogan for you: "If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them!".

The U.S. should have not gone in without a plan. I think this administration thought it was going to be an easy takeover and everyone would bow in awe of this administration and kiss their butts. Instead it backfired on them. This invasion has turned out to be a big mess and the U.S. has lost control.
Now the U.S. is ready to go to war with Iran and remove the Iranian regime. Then you have N.Korea making threats and already saying war has been declared.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see some nuke bombs going off by next spring.
As far as the people with the Support the Troops stickers. I think they all should go to their nearest recruiter and enlist. The recruiting age is up to 41 years old now.

Ya - it's funny to see all those "support our troops" things on the back of peoples' cars - but our troops have been denied weapons and armor and leave and rotation - and when they get home they're denied medical help and so one and so forth. Americans are largely complete idiots - they just want to appear as if they support troops - mostly they don't care. The war doesn't touch them - they just want their tax rebate check.

I really don't think it's any use to talk with you since you are so sure of yourself. But oh well...
There is no plan for a pull out date. That is the only thing we have no plan for. But of course you only want to use that word as a generalization.
Our mission is to provide as much security as possible and to continue sweep operations in search of weapons cache until the country can support itself militarily.
This is not going to be easy, it is not going to be quick. But it is going to happen. The other middle east sountries do not want a democratic Iraq, they are afraid of that. It is change, so it is evil.
The only thing that will get us out of Iraq is a gutless President that only knows how to run. So if a Democratic president comes in, we just may see that.

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! People who put "Support the Troops" bumper stickers on their cars are just supporting Bush's "stay the course" manifesto and NOT the troops, because if they really wanted to support the troops themselves they would go against Bush's bravado and GET THEM OUT OF IRAQ AND OUT OF HARM'S WAY IMMEDIATELY!

Sir, you are right on about Bush. I beleive that the murder of our
troops for the planned world dominace plan of Bush-Cheney is
a disaster. How can this man say we are promoteing freedom
committing genocide around the world. millions of people displaced out of there homes.
Remember is was Bush daddy's ambassador to give the go ahead for Saddam to attack Kuwait. Seems like this was a setup againist Saddam to cause us to go into Irag. Remember Saddam was buddies with Rumsfeld and was sold the reactors and chemical weapons by the US.

Advertisements for milk, or anti bacteria soap might ask mothers: Do you love your children? How much do you care for your children's health?
COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT QUESTIONS THAT YOU SIMPLY CANNOT ANSWER WITH NO!
Supporting troops, our boys and girls is NOT the same thing as supporting the politics behind the war that are controlling the troops, sending them to their death, and basically being their real enemies!
