Besides the obvious answer of physical separation, does anyone have suggestions for keeping my cockatiel pair from wanting to nest and breed again so soon? They have raised 2 clutches in the past 3 months and their babies are wonderfully tame. But, until I find homes for everyone, I have to put up with a screaming male kept away from his girl.

There is no other form of birth control for a bird other than seperating them. I would be more concerned about making sure she is getting enough calicum in her diet. I had Cockatiels that bred all year long, they were very healthy and on an excellent diet.

Take the nestbox out that will stop them or let her lay but take the eggs out of the nestbox and keep them safe in a tub with cotton wool so she can have them back soon after a break.
