It's a round worm. Round worms look like spaghetti. Tape worms typically look like rice because the segments break up when they come out. Vaccines will not protect you pet from intestinal worms. They get round worms from fecal to oral contact. Somehow she must have come across the stool of another animal with round worms. And either she stepped in it and then later groomed her paws or she got a little too close while sniffing it. You can call your vet and tell them your pet has round worms and they should be able to give you a dewormer for it. They might ask you to bring in a stool sample to double check on the type of worms she has so that they can give you the correct dewormer. The sample doesn't need to have the worm visible. They look under the microscrope for the eggs. Good luck!

Worms....Any vet should have known that. Check with a different vet as to what kind of medicine to give to the cat, because there are different kinds of worms. Act fast, because a bad case of worms can be fatal.

I'm thinking your cat has worms. There are over the counter de-wormers available at your local walmart store. Or you could take a sample to the vet and have them give you something.

Sounds like worms. Stool sample is needed to see what kind. There are over-the-counter deworming meds for some types of worms.

Sounds like worms. My barn cat used to get worms a lot. They get it from eating birds and rodents. Call your vet, they will give you meds to give the kitty.

Worms. Take her to the vet with a stool sample. They will determine what type they are and give her a shot. You also need to use some type of flea control...............
