If they are in Basic Training, probably not. Same will probably go for OSUT, which combines Basic and AIT.

You should direct these questions to the Commander's office.

I graduated from Ft. Leonardwood a year ago. Our family day was from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, not a lot of time but the company I was with sucked. And they will definitly be able to leave I believe they can't go over 25 mi. off post but there is a town right outside and it has resturants, hotels, and wal-mart and that's about all.

Yes. We just attended the graduation of my son two weeks ago. Unless his company or he himself is in trouble for some reason he will be able to leave two days. On family day (Wednesday) my son got to leave from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the next day, he got to leave from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and then we got to see him for about two hours the next morning right after graduation.

There are rules and restrictions as to where they can go and do, etc.

Make sure you ask him questions! They won't tell unless they are asked....and my son loved telling!

Hope you enjoy your visit, we sure did!

Things may have changed since I was there.
He was allowed to leave overnight but only a certain number of miles away. Had to be back really early in the morning. Something like 5am.
This was back in 1997. Things may have changes since then.

I don't see why not, if the soldier is off duty, or isn't in basic training, or AIT.

YES, THEY USUALLY RECEIVE A DAY PASS. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE TO BE BACK AT THEIR UNIT BY A CERTAIN TIME.
