Absolutely you need to be insured. Even if it is not legal (which it probably is) there are a thousand reasons why. A few examples

-Dog bites/attacks an employee. You need insurance to cover her bills and possible law suit.
-Dog bites/attacks another dog. Same as above, cover the damages
-Dog gets away. Again could be a big cost.
-Dog gets sick, or worse yet dies.

A lot of pure breeds are very tempermental and also expensive. Add that to the costs of vet bills, you are taking on a huge liability with this venture if you are not well insured. Plus anyone who really cares about their dog will check to make sure you are insured/bonded. I know I did when I was looking for one. This is less because you think you will need it. The real reason people check is because it is a sign of how professional and responsible the company is. To most people their dog is a member of the family, so make sure you do everything you can to protect all parties.

Yes, I would if I were you. Animals are quite unpredictable and today people can be so eager with lawsuits. What if an animal were to attact another animal under your care. Or if kennel cough was spread around your daycare and people were coming to you with their vet bills. Insurance is just a good idea these days.

You should get general liability insurance and make sure you have a good contract for the clients to sign. Bonding is for employees, I don't think you need to get the dogs bonded, it would be hard for them to steal anything. Good Luck...

in case you favor to do it, why do not you artwork for a doggier daycare for awhile to work out if that's what you extremely elect to do. I artwork in a grooming salon, yet we've a doggie motel with doggie daycare, and that's a number of artwork. you need to make certain the dogs are up as a lot as now on all their images, and also you've were given to have coverage basically in case some thing takes position to a dogs. you need to understand what to do if a dogs hurts yet another dogs or someone, and also you've were given to pay for vet expenditures in the journey that they get damage even as on your care.

I'm sure state regulations vary so check it out locally.

From a consumer standpoint...I'd feel better knowing the daycare I bring my dog to has insurance.
